UTME registration process for 2022 will be cashless – JAMB

JAMB has announced that the UTME registration process will be cashless for 2022. This is revealed in its weekly onboard newsletter. According to the council, this is an attempt to end the blackmail. According to the board of directors, the fee for applying to UTME will in no way be increased by the new procedure.

“Only the payment process has changed, not the price. With the new policy, applicants can simply enter the registration center and register free of charge,” the bulletin reads.

JAMB also announced that the board of directors will collect an N700 application fee (an approved fee charged by the CBT center to assist applicants with registration) on behalf of the CBT center.

The bulletin states that the board will collect the N700-approved registration fee at the registration point and transfer it to the various approved centers.

This will help prevent extortion of candidates, according to the board, as some CBT centers pursue mass extortion of candidates during exercise.
